Pablo Castagnola was born and raised in Buenos Aires, surrounded by photography. His father’s photo studio as well as the art scene in the Argentinian capital were early sources of inspiration and awakened Pablo’s joy for craftsmanship and attention to technical detail. Already at the age of 23 Pablo directed his own photo studio that received numerous awards for its advertisement campaigns. Today Pablo lives in Berlin.

In his photographic work he explores identities and living spaces with sensitivity, curiousity and an attentive eye for humanity. This approach results in lively, authentic portraits and photo journalism from all over the world.
His pictures have been published in Time Magazine, Der Spiegel, GEO, GEO Saison, Die Zeit, Berliner Zeitung, SZ Magazin, Newsweek, Tagesspiegel, The Financial Times, Handelsblatt, Pagina 12, enorm, BEEF!, Lufthansa Magazin and numerous others.
In addition he regularly works for large companies like Deutsche Bahn and scientific institutions like the Einstein Foundation Berlin, the Max Delbrück Center and the Natural History Museum Berlin.

In 2002 Pablo joined the international photo agency Anzenberger based in Vienna.
